Trinity UMC, 1738 Galloway, Memphis TN 38112
Troops 13 are offering four Eagle Required badges on February 1st, to help Twin Banks and Chickasaw Council Scouts plan as they plan their path to Eagle.
There will be a morning and afternoon session, starting 8:00AM and running until 4:30PM. There’s no cost to attend, but we are offering meal tickets for $7.00 to cover lunch – or bring your own!
Offering 1: Citizenship in Society
This will be a morning and afternoon session, with the following pre-work requirements – these can be completed after the course, but bring completed work to get the badge signed off on the 1st –
- With your parent’s or guardian’s approval, connect with another Scout or youthyour own age who has an identity that’s different from yours. (This means a trait, belief, or characteristic different from you.)
- Identify and interview an individual in your community, school, and/or Scouting who has had a significant positive impact in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. If you feel your community, school, or local Scouting group does not have such an individual, then research a historical figure who meets these criteria, and discuss that person with your counselor.
- With the help of your parent or guardian, study an event that had a positive outcome on how society viewed a group of people and made them feel more welcome. Describe to your counselor the event and what you learned.
Offering 2: Personal Fitness
We will cover Personal Fitness requirements: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 9 AND Second Class 7C rank requirement. Please bring your most up to date scouting medical form, if possible. If you have completed requirements 6, 7, and 8, please bring written/printed evidence. Otherwise this may be submitted at a later date upon completion.
Offering 3: Citizenship in the Community
Offered in the afternoon, Citizenship in the Community will cover all requirements with the exception of 3, 7b, and 7c. If you have documentation for these, please bring to class and they will be signed off on approval.
Offering 4: Environmental Science

Requirement 2 has observations over 2 days, so can be covered at a campout, camp, or at home, documenting your work!
